A TRAIN worker from Clydebank has been praised on Twitter after he had commuters in hysterics this morning.
Robert Altenburg, who works for Scotrail, finishes up for his summer holiday tomorrow and used the intercom to ask those on the train to pressure his bosses into giving him a half day to get his holiday preparation done.

He announced: "If I could just ask a favour of all the passengers on the train, could you please tweet into ScotRail saying what a wonderful job I'm doing and ask my boss to give me a half day tomorrow so I can get my hair, nails and face all done before I fly out on Saturday.
"Please enjoy the rest of your day and I look forward to seeing you all again on the 19th of August."
Commuters then took to Twitter to ask ScotRail to grant Robert's wishes.
One said: "ScotRail give the 8.14am train manager a wee half day tomorrow! He put a smile on everyone's face this morning."
Another added: "ScotRail can you pass on some feedback to the manager of the driver of the Edinburgh service passing Hyndland at 8am this morning. For the first time ever I saw a train full of commuters smiling thanks to his banter and great sense of humour! Give him his half day tomorrow!"
@ScotRail Robert is needing time off to get his hair nails and tan done for his holiday. #halfdayFriday #EdinburghHelensburghtrain #heisinholidaymode #welldeserved
