A FAMILY fun day will be held next month after volunteers and staff at LINKES organised the event for Saturday, August 17, from 12-4pm.

It is the sixth year of the free event, which aims to bring people together to enjoy music, entertainment, food and activities such as face-painting, climbing, fairground rides, bungee-jumping and trampolining.

There will be performances from the Joyous Choir and Corpus Christi singers and dancers.

The Knightswood-based charity gets its name from Lincoln Avenue and Kestrel Road, which surround the high rises. Its staff work on the estate, and beyond, to promote integration, learning and well-being.

Head to the car park outside block 200 of the multi-storey Lincoln Avenue/Kestrel Road flats to join in on the fun.
