POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in relation with an "unprovoked" assault in Scotstoun earlier this year.

The assault took place at around 2.40pm on Friday, April 19 on Balmoral Street, at the junction with Earl Street.

The man is described as being between 16 and 20 years old, around 5'8" with a slim build and fair hair.

He also has a tattoo on his right upper arm, right hand, left forearm and upper arm.

He was seen wearing bright orange trousers, a yellow hat and yellow t-shirt at the time of the incident.

PC Kirstin Walker from Drumchapel Police Office said: “A man has been left in a state of shock and distress having been assaulted during an unprovoked attack. I’m appealing for the identification of this man as he may be able to assist with the ongoing investigation.

"I would urge anyone who recognises the man in the images, or who has information that may assist the investigation to contact Drumchapel Police Office through 101.

"Alternatively CRIMESTOPPERS can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained."
