A POPULAR restaurant in Clydebank was successful at a recent awards ceremony.

Diva Indian and Italian Restaurant, in Dalmuir, won the Best Eatery category at this year’s Scotland’s Business Awards.

The restaurant posted on Facebook: “We are the proud winners of Scotland’s Business Awards for Best Eatery 2018/19. We are thankful to all of our customers and staff who make the valuable contribution for us to achieve this award.”

Customers congratulated the owner Sunita and her employees in comments.

One said: “Congratulations Sunita, very well deserved. Your food and customer service is first class.”

A loyal customer wrote: “We adore your food, your friendly, kind service and the atmosphere is always lovely.

“We are regulars for years and intend to continue. Congratulations.”

Another added: “Congratulations Sunita and all the wonderful staff at Diva, much deserved... Thanks for looking after us so well.”

Other Clydebank bussinesses successful at the ceremony included Looking Good Skin Health and Beauty Clinic, based on Kilbowie Road. The clinic won the Best Beauty Salon Award.

And XOXO Hair and Makeup based in the Clyde Shopping Centre won the award for Best Business, despite being open for just a year.

Owner Maryanne O’Neill and her business partner Gary McKerracher had three businesses up for awards, with the other two being Sugar Beauty Bar and Clyde Barbers.

Maryanne said: “When we won the biggest award being the best of all nominated, it was a lovely surprise.

“I personally believe it was down to our lovely staff and customers who have made our new business XOXO such a success. It was an all round effort from everyone. A great team. Especially our manager, Stephanie Duff.”
