A HIGH flying circus performer is looking forward to dazzling crowds from Clydebank - after battling back from breast cancer.

Circus Extreme star Laura Miller feared her career as an aqua aerialist was over following the devastating diagnosis five years ago.

But she fought against the disease and, after being given the all-clear, spent the last almost two years regaining the strength and fitness required for her breath-taking performances.

Laura, 38, wows crowds during her show-stopping act which sees her glide almost weightlessly around the confines of the UK’s largest circus big top before diving into fiery tank many feet below.

Despite Circus Extreme’s only Scottish dates being in Aberdeen and Glasgow, Laura is hoping Bankies will pop along and enjoy the show.

Laura, who has been one of the stars of the big top since 2003, said: “Giving up is not my thing, I just wanted to go back to the ring after beating cancer.

“I would love it if people from Clydebank could pop along to one of our shows which feature some of the top performers in the world, and a high wire and double wheel of death stunt never seen before in the UK.

Circus Extreme is at Intu Braehead, Glasgow, between July 25 and August 3.
