A WEST Scotland MSP has welcomed funding boosts for groups in the area.
Maurice Golden praised the £5,000 for West Dunbartonshire Council for Voluntary Service, granted by the Corra Foundation through the Henry Duncan awards.
The money will help deliver a mental health befriending project.

“With the money to be used to deliver a mental health befriending project, this will help protect many of our most vulnerable citizens and help bring communities together.
“We must continue to support our voluntary sector which carries out so much fantastic work on a daily basis to help deliver services.”
The MSP also highlighted cash from the Asda Foundation’s Green Token Giving Programme.
The Tory politician added: “It is always heartening to see local groups receive a funding boost and this money will be used for many good causes throughout the community.”
