TRNSMT festival-goers have set off flares during Gerry Cinnamon’s set - despite being warned about them.

A Police Scotland warning sign flashed up on the main stage screen in Glasgow Green prior to the gig starting at 7.30pm. It read: “The use of flares & smoke devices is illegal and dangerous.

“CCTV footage will be used to persue [sic] and prosecute anyone involved.”

However, when the “Belter” hitmaker took to the stage, members in the crowd could be seen letting off smoke flares.

Gig-goers had been warned by TRNSMT organisers beforehand on the event’s website: “No...flares (you’ll get charged by the Police).”
