The Erskine Bridge is set to receive a facelift after a specialist engineering company landed a four-year maintenance agreement for the landmark.
Spencer Group was awarded the contract by Transport Scotland, with the business already having carried out a series of major works on the structure dating back 20 years.

The £18 million painting programme will be carried out in four phases and involve stripping off existing paint layers, applying new coats and completing steelwork repairs.
An incredible 46,000 litres of paint will be required, with the project set to be the most extensive maintenance painting of the bridge for a generation.
