LOCAL causes are set to receive a £10,000 windfall from a leading housing association.
Cairn Housing Association has launched its community fund for this year, with clubs, charities and community groups in line for a cash windfall.
The Cairn Community Fund launched in 2013, and has since dished out £60,000 to the best community groups across the area, and across the country.
The cash is intended to improve the lives and the areas around where Cairn tenants live.

So far, cash has gone to sports teams, meals on wheels projects and rooftop gardens which aim to combat loneliness.
Jason MacGilp, chief executive of Cairn Housing Association, said: “We’re totally committed to investing in communities across Scotland and helping to make them better places.
“We recognise that each community we work in across Scotland is unique, which is why the funding is open to a host of different initiatives.”
To apply for cash from the fund, projects need to submit a detailed plan and application form at cairnha.com.
