A PARENT and toddler playgroup in Clydebank has been taking part in a campaign to raise money for a children’s charity.

The Tots and Toddlers group, which meets at the Clydebank Methodist Church on Thursday mornings, held a Giant Wiggle event to raise cash for Action for Children.

At a recent session on June 20, the group had a caterpillar theme and the kids got involved in arts and crafts to make a giant caterpillar and butterfly.

They also took part in an obstacle course and enjoyed a slice of caterpillar cake.

Eileen Martin, church steward and group leader, told the Post: “We had great fun when we had our sponsored Giant Wiggle. The kids learned all about caterpillars and butterflies, made pictures and raised lots of money for Action for Children.

“We always enjoy doing exciting things on Thursdays at the church.”

The group members get together at the church on Second Avenue from 10am until 11.30am.

Eileen added: “We are a lovely crowd of mums, grandparents and carers helping one another and enjoying one another’s company.”

Any child under school age is welcome to join Tots and Toddlers, although the group are now on holiday until Thursday, August 22.
