THOSE who were at Clyde Shopping Centre last week had the opportunity to get a free hearing screening.

The “Campaign for Better Hearing” is a global initiative that has three aims: to encourage everyone over 55 to have a hearing test, to highlight the impact that hearing loss can have on your health, and to raise awareness of the importance of looking after your hearing.

The campaign came to the shopping centre in Clydebank on Tuesday, June 18, and more than 80 members of the public had a free hearing screening.

Advice and guidance on hearing loss was also offered.

Sheila Josey, charity ambassador for Hidden Hearing Scotland, said: “We raised money and awareness for Alzheimer’s Research UK. We had lots of fun and gave away lots of freebies.”
