THE work of primary school children is hanging on display - after the pupils were crowned winners of an art competition.

Faifley Art Group organised the competition for five local primaries – St Joseph’s, Edinbarnet, Goldenhill, St Mary’s and Carleith.

Primary four and five pupils entered their artwork, and members of the art group found it difficult judging almost 300 entries, resulting in “sore heads all round.”

In the end, a total of 35 prizes were awarded, 10 winners and 25 runner ups.

A spokesperson for Faifley Art Group told the Post: “We would encourage everyone to go along and have a glimpse into the future as imagined by the children.

“We would like to thank all of our sponsors, for their donations, without whom we could not function, and thanks to the libraries for displaying the work.”
