WET WET WET have announced a mini tour around Scotland following the success of a string of dates earlier this year.

The new-look band, which now features former Liberty X singer Kevin Simm, have, however, not announced a Glasgow show.

Instead, they will kick off in Aberdeen's P&J Live Hall C on November 2 before performing in Hamilton The Town House on November 5.

Other dates include Kilmarnock Grand Hall on November 7, Dundee Caird Hall on November 8, Edinburgh Usher Hall on November 9 and Inverness Ironworks on November 10.

In a statement, the band said: "This feels like a homecoming. Scotland is so incredibly important to us and rather than making the fans come to us, we wanted to go to them this time. We’re excited to go to some places we haven’t played before”.

Former singer Marti Pellow quit the band two years ago to focus on his solo career.

He was replaced by Simm who won the Voice in 2016 and shot to fame with Liberty X’s hit Just A Little.

Wet Wet Wet were propelled into the spotlight after forming in the early 80s. The band are best know for their 1994 cover of The Troggs’ 1960s hit Love is All Around.

The group also had hits with Wishing I Was Lucky, Sweet Little Mystery, Angel Eyes and Goodnight Girl.

Tickets go on general sale on Friday, June 28 at 10am.
