KIDS and parents queued with excitement at the weekend as the newest store opened at the Clyde Shopping Centre.

Toy shop, The Entertainer announced their arrival with a little help from LEGO’s Batman and Robin.

Craig Lowe, events coordinator at The Entertainer, said: “We’re delighted with how our grand opening event went.

“It was great to see the children enjoying the toy demonstrations as well as meeting LEGO’s life-sized favourites, Batman and Robin. There were smiles and selfies all round.”

During the fun filled day on Saturday, June 15, the new store also held a lucky dip for those who were first through the door, with a chance to win a gift card of up to £100.

And five-year-old Tia Low cut the ribbon.

Ross Campbell, senior asset manager at Edinburgh House Estates, who own the centre, said: “We are delighted to welcome The Entertainer, we are already having an excellent year at the centre with footfall 5 per cent up on the national average, and by the size of the crowds at the opening we will be up further.”

Mr Campbell encouraged Bankies to keep an eye out on the centre’s social media, as well as the Post for more events and openings coming soon.

One Below, a large discount store, also opened its doors in Clyde Shopping Centre on Friday, June 14.
