A DOG was attacked in Duntocher over the weekend.
Around 10.30am on Saturday, June 15, a man was out walking with his Shih Tzu at a lane near to Auchentoshan Avenue.
His dog was on a lead and under full control when a large white dog, not on a lead or under control, approached his dog and lunged at its neck.
The man picked his dog up and was knocked to the ground by the other dog who was trying to maul his.
Members of the public assisted before the dog let go.

The man attended the vet with his dog, who was kept in for surgery overnight.
Police were contacted and are carrying out enquiries.
