TWO top Scottish authors visited St Andrew’s High School pupils to talk about writing.
Julia Donaldson and Catherine Forde were welcomed by S1 and S2 pupils before discussing their work.
Julia is best known as Britain’s bestselling picture book writer but came along to discuss her first foray into writing a teen novel, “Running on the Cracks”.
She and Catherine both talked about where they find their inspiration for characters and storylines, and the pupils got a chance to ask them questions.
Julia involved pupils in acting out scenes from her novel to help illustrate the characters before going along to Gavinburn Library to entertain primary four children from Gavinburn Primary with some of her songs and picture books.
