A CLYDEBANK couple are getting prepared to celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary.

Jack and Christian Murray both survived the Clydebank Blitz, and later moved to Knightswood where the pair met.

They lived next door to each other at the time, and now the couple are about to mark 60 years together.

Jack and Christian tied the knot on June 12, 1959, at the United Free Church in Knightswood, and went on to have son, Steven.

The happy couple have two grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Their family paid tribute: β€œTo the happy couple on your 60th wedding anniversary. These days loyalty and faithfulness are not as common as they should be. Your example to all the family is admirable.”
