The Booked! festival, run by West Dunbartonshire Libraries and Cultural Services, kicks off this week.
The annual literary event gives people in West Dunbartonshire the opportunity to meet leading fiction and non-fiction writers, hear their work and discover new books.
During the festival, which runs until May 19, events will be taking place at Dalmuir and Parkhall libraries.

Included in the line-up is Alan Parks, a new and exciting addition to Scottish noir with his work being compared to the late, great, William McIlvanney.
His debut novel Bloody January was shortlisted for the prestigious international crime prize the Grand Prix de Littérature Policière.
The programme also includes the Booked! schools festival in conjunction with local secondaries.
