MORE than £3,000 has been raised for Golden Friendships at a charity event.
Roger Clifford, a former Clydebank High teacher who shared his world travels with Bankies, recently returned home and organised a dance on Saturday, April 27.

He said: “It was a great success with a large crowd. I would like to thank everyone who contributed in any way, for this great cause, and making it a great night. Without you, it would not have been so successful.”
Tom Sheridan, owner of Clydebank Estate Agents, who is on the committee of Golden Friendships was presented with the money, on behalf of Jim McLaren.
