A COUPLE from Old Kilpatrick have celebrated a special milestone by travelling the world.
Linda and Thomas Alderdice marked 50 years together by sailing on a cruise through Portugal, Spain and Greece, stopping at the Jerusalem Wailing Wall and then moving onto Dubai where the cruise stopped for three days, before heading to India for a week.

The happy couple met when Thomas was in hospital getting his tonsils out and turned his charm on to the nurse which happened to be Linda.
They tied the knot on March 1, 1969, in Creetown, Dumfries, and have three kids – David, Jill and Stewart, as well as seven grandkids.
Linda and Thomas said the secret to a happy and long-lasting marriage is hard work and loyalty.
