DUE to high demand, the number of cancer support services in the town has now increased.

Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Services help Bankies and their friends and family at Clydebank Library on Thursdays between 1pm and 4pm.

And now the team will also be on hand on Tuesdays between 10.30am and 12.30pm so they can cope with the increased numbers of people seeking help.

The charity offers a free and confidential drop-in service where anyone affected by cancer can get emotional support and high-quality information in a relaxed environment, as well as time to talk through issues and concerns with the charity’s trained volunteers.

They can help you find the information you need on living with all aspects of cancer, support you while a loved one is going through cancer, arrange free counselling sessions and free complementary therapy appointments and can also refer you to your local Macmillan Benefits Adviser to see if you are entitled to financial help.
