AVERAGE house prices in West Dunbartonshire grew slightly in the year to February.
New figures from the UK National House Price Index show the average price in the area was £105,049 - a rise of almost two per cent.
By comparison, Inverclyde saw a 6.4 per cent increase to £99,467, while the average price in Argyll and Bute showed a modest rise of one per cent at £141,435.

Across Scotland as a whole, prices experienced a drop of 0.2 per cent to £145,762 - the first annual decrease in the average price of a property since March 2016.
The biggest price increase was in Midlothian, where prices soared by almost 10 per cent to £186,000, while the largest decrease was recorded in City of Aberdeen, where average prices fell over the year by seven per cent to £149,000.
