AN ALLEGED shoplifting incident has resulted in a man being charged with four offences.
The 44-year-old reportedly entered Matalan at Clyde Retail Park, placed £24 worth of baby clothing into a bag for life, and left without paying on April 8.
Police were called around 6.10pm, traced him on a nearby street, and reportedly found the items in his possession.

The man was informed he was under arrest, and he allegedly started shouting and swearing towards officers making sectarian remarks.
Once at Clydebank police office, the accused reportedly began to spit and punch officers within the rear of the police vehicle, and once taken to his cell attempted to assault officers who had to squirt PAVA spray in his face.
He was held in custody and detained to appear in court charged with shoplifting, a breach of the peace and two police assaults.
