TALENTED pupils from a Knightswood school hit the right note recently.

Corpus Christie Primary school choir scooped an honours award at the recent Glasgow Music Festival.

Primary six and seven pupils from the Pikeman Road school competed against schools from throughout the region to win the coveted competition.

Youngsters performed compulsory piece ‘Coconut Man’ and a gospel song, at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall venue.

It is the second year running that the Corpus Christie choir have scooped the accolade.

Music teacher Stewart Henderson put the youngsters through their paces for the event.

Acting Depute Head at the school, Rosemary McCann, said: “To win two years in a row is absolutely brilliant. I’m over the moon at their achievements, as is their music teacher Mr Henderson.”
