On Thursday, April 15, 2004, the Post reported that...
A SUCCESSFUL group of students received rewards after completing their care course.
The 15 women, including 10 from Clydebank, attended the Getting Into Care course run by One Plus at Whitecrook CE Centre.
And most of them have already received job offers or opportunities of further training. They were presented with their certificates at the Centre, on Fleming Avenue.

Irene Goodfellow, course tutor, said: “These are great outcomes from a marvellous group of women.
“They have really been a delight to train and to be with for the past 10 weeks.”
The whole One Plus project has been in operation for eight months, with the caring course being one of several run as part of it.
Of the 52 students who have taken a course, a high percentage have gone into employment or further education.
The initiative is funded by West Dunbartonshire Partnership, West Dunbartonshire Council and Scottish Enterprise Dunbartonshire in partnership with Clydebank College and Job Centre Plus.
