People of Clydebank have been invited to nominate anyone they know who has demonstrated courage following a stroke.

The Life After Stroke Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of survivors of the life-threatening condition.

Every year the Stroke Association hosts the event to recognise and celebrate the lives of all those affected by stroke.

If you know someone who’s been an inspiration to others after suffering a stroke, you can nominate them, whether they're a stroke survivor, carer, volunteer, stroke club or group, fundraiser or a professional.

Entries must be submitted by Friday, May 24, at stroke.org.uk/life-after-stroke-awards.

Judges at this year’s event include actor Geoffrey Palmer, and former Who Wants to be a Millionaire host, Chris Tarrant OBE.
