POLICE officers who knocked on the door of a flat in Clydebank allegedly discovered cannabis plants inside.

At around 12.30pm on Friday, April 5, at Duncombe View, loud music and shouting was reportedly heard from within a property.

Officers knocked on the door to check all was in order and the flat’s tenant, a 41-year-old man, answered and stated no-one else was within.

A strong smell of cannabis was allegedly coming from within the flat and there was reportedly green leaf material scattered on the floor.

Officers also reportedly saw a cannabis plant in a bedroom which had its door left open.

The man was arrested, and a warrant was sought under the misuse of drugs act. Police then searched the home at around 2.30pm and nine, what are believed to be cannabis plants, were recovered.
