The Students’ Association at West College Scotland, which has a campus in Clydebank, has scooped a top prize at the annual National Union of Students Scotland awards, taking home officer team of the year for 2019.
NUS Scotland, which represents 500,000 students at colleges and universities across the country, hosted the prestigious ceremony at its annual conference in Dunblane.

The awards are an opportunity to applaud the unsung heroes across the student movement, while reflecting on the standout stories and achievements of the past year of officers and staff.
Nicole Percival, student president of West College Scotland, said: “The officers at West College Scotland are overwhelmed to receive this award recognising their achievements during their time in office.
“It has been a great way of acknowledging the work and changes we have managed to achieve for the student body."
Liam McCabe, NUS Scotland President said: "Every year we are proud to recognise the achievements of our student officers and their staff and are inspired by their ingenuity and tenacity when finding solutions and winning change for students."
