THE consultation on a proposed Bill dedicated to Paige Doherty and her family will end on Thursday as the proposal moves to the next stage of its journey through the parliamentary process.
Local MSP Gil Paterson is aiming to ensure a time-limit is put on defence post-mortem examinations in murder cases.
Mr Paterson began working on his proposal soon after the tragic murder of Paige Doherty in Whitecrook in 2016, and says he is pleased with the response to his consultation.

He said: “The response to the consultation on my proposal shows that this is a subject which people care deeply about.
“I believe my Bill would make the process clearer and more transparent for all involved at the same time as protecting the right of the accused to a fair trial. That can only be good for the victims’ family.
“If you haven’t yet submitted your views and would like to, you have to do this before 5pm on Thursday, April 4.
