Three months into 2019 and life at Edinbarnet is as busy as ever.

Our most recent biggest event was a series of experiences involving our primary 6s. Over the past month our P6s have been caring for a small school of trout based in our STEM hub as part of their class topic.

They have had lots of responsibilities throughout the hatching process. They had to keep the temperature at the right level and regularly check on the trout. This topic ended in the trout being safely released into the Cochno Burn.

Meanwhile, we are now in the full throws of school show rehearsals. Mr McCann is back in the director’s chair for another year and it’s already shaping up to be a good one.

Auditions have been and gone, parts have been assigned and rehearsals are weekly to get us ready for the big show in May. Keep your eyes on our next few articles for ticket details.

Primary 5 have recently had a wonderful experience doing some class renovations. They transformed an old cupboard into a new learning zone.

They linked this to their Titanic topic and have named the new zone “Titanic HQ”. This is where they are undertaking their topical learning and doing research on the Titanic.

P5a were involved in the design of the new area, it involved a lot of organisation and planning and overall took about four weeks to get ready for use.

In recent weeks, P1-7 were very lucky to be involved in a Judo taster session. Max brought his equipment and skills into our assembly hall to give us a short introduction.

We had great fun, practised some Judo moves and even learned a few key words and phrases. A big thank you to Max for taking the time to come to Edinbarnet.

Edinbarnet Editors would like to say a big thank you to Tristan from the Clydebank Post. Recently he popped out to visit us in school.

As we previously explained we have lots of new editors who have joined our group. Tristan helped us write an article and gave us handy tips on how to improve our skills in journalism and editing.

We are aiming to develop these skills while writing our next articles for the Clydebank Post.
