Lyndsey Coleman, Intandem co-ordinator, said: “I was absolutely delighted to be up for Youth Worker of the Year. It was such a privilege to be in a category with another two amazing youth workers, and to come runner up was still such an achievement.

“The evening itself was amazing, celebrating the youth work sector and hearing about different projects across Scotland. We have been overwhelmed with everyone’s messages of support and well wishes.

“The highlight for me was seeing our youth management board win the Youth Participation category. It couldn’t have went to a more deserving group of young people.”

Michelle Dominque Bell, Y Sort It chairperson, added: “This night was beyond amazing. Having three finalist in three different categories and being recognised nationally, is such a great honour.

“Y Sort It means so much to so many young people in the area. The youth management board members couldn’t be any prouder of the staff, volunteers and young people who work so hard to make Y Sort It successful.

“I’m so proud to be chairperson and to be a part of this amazing service.”
