AN aeronautical student from Faifley will soon be jetting off on an American summer adventure.

David Cowan will jet out to Connecticut in June, to work with youngsters living the Camp USA experience.

The 18-year-old will take up the position of general counsellor at Camp Kenmont in the eastern seaboard state.

Student David, will spend nine weeks putting youngsters through their paces in a host of activities from swimming to nature walks, before having the opportunity to travel round the US for a further ten weeks.

He hopes to take in the sights of New York, America’s most lively city, before heading home to return to his Aeronautical Engineering studies.

David said: “I’m really looking forward to heading out to the states. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I really like working with kids. It will be my first time away from home for so long, but I plan to enjoy the experience.”
