TWO suspects are to stand trial charged with murdering a man who was found on wasteland, in Drumchapel.

Joseph McIntyre, 34, and Robert Dunn, 20, are accused of killing Darren Sinclair last November.

Prosecutors claim the 27-year-old was punched and repeatedly struck on the head and body with a knife or similar item.

McIntyre then faces a charge of attempting to defeat the ends of justice.

This includes claims he changed the colour of his hair, grew a beard and tried to alter his appearance after the alleged murder.

It is further stated he got rid of the knife said to have been used.

McIntyre faces a final charge of having an air pistol at a flat in Drumchapel.

His QC John Scullion and Brian McConnachie QC, defending Dunn, today pled not guilty on their behalf.

Prosecutor Jane Farquharson QC told the High Court in Glasgow hearing that a trial could be set.

Lady Stacey fixed a trial for August. The case could last around 15 days.
