STAFF at Clydebank’s NHS National Waiting Times Centre are celebrating being happy and healthy after achieving the silver award from Healthy Working Lives.

Occupational health nurses at the Dalmuir facility have been working hard on a wide range of initiatives in order to promote health to staff of the Golden Jubilee National Hospital and the Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre.

These included providing more help for any member of staff with mental health needs and supporting staff and managers with attendance management.

Marie Smith, occupational health nurse at the National Waiting Times Centre, said: “We are delighted that we have won the silver Healthy Working Lives Award.

“This has been a huge effort and commitment from everyone in our team and we are delighted that we have been able to receive this recognition on behalf of the board.”

Jill Young, chief executive of the Golden Jubilee Foundation, added: “I would like to congratulate the members of the occupational health team for all their hard work in improving the health and lifestyle choices of our staff. ”
