STAFF at a Clydebank firm have delivered a cash boost to help make homelessness a thing of the past.

The team at MCC Label in Clydebank Business Park raised £8,916 by taking part in Social Bite’s Sleep in the Park event in December.

This week, Josh Littlejohn MBE, co-founder of the social enterprise, visited staff to receive the cheque and personally thank the MCC team.

Josh said: “By raising money and working together we can accelerate the pace of change in Scotland and create the political mandate to end homelessness here.

“We are immensely grateful to MCC – this is a huge boost to the money raised on the night and I was very keen to come to Clydebank personally to thank the team at MCC.”

Thousands of people from all over the country took part in the huge gathering at Kelvingrove Park, which was also held simultaneously in Dundee, Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

The event, that saw performances from Amy MacDonald and Irvine Welsh on the night, raised more than £3million.
