Karen Dunbar is to host a glittering business awards ceremony in Clydebank.

One of Scotland’s best-known comedy actors will captivate guests at the Working4Business 2019 awards in May.

The awards provide an opportunity for top businesses, organisations and individuals to appear in the spotlight to celebrate their business achievements.

A spokeswoman for the ceremony said: “We are delighted to announce that the 2019 Working4Business Awards will be hosted once again by Karen Dunbar."

Back by popular demand, Karen has trod the boards in everything from Glasgow panto to West End Shakespeare.

She has also performed Burns, Shakespeare, stand up and DJ’d in New York, and opened the 2014 Commonwealth Games in front of one billion viewers.

From Oran Mor to the National Theatre Karen has captivated audiences with a mix of comedy, music and acting talents.
Karen started off in the sketch show Chewin’ the Fat, then went on to star in her own programme, The Karen Dunbar Show, which received four Golden Rose nominations.

Laureen Preston, operations/care manager of Alltogether Care Services, who won the Excellence in Customer Service category last year, said: “Achieving this category only makes us strive to do better and continue to think outside the box.

“This award validates that we are making a difference and to be recognised for it is just amazing.”

There is still time for companies to submit applications for up to three of the categories and it is free to enter.
