AN ART exhibition held in aid of charity has raised more than £7,000.

The “Little Arts of Love” exhibition in aid of Mary’s Meals was held in the Backdoor Gallery at Dalmuir Library.

All work displayed and for sale was created by local professional and amateur artists.

Josephine Torrance, organiser of the exhibition, said: "Many thanks to all who have taken part by visiting, purchasing, donating and special thanks to all the artists, to West Dunbartonshire Leisure Trust, Moira and Trish and the library staff. Faifley Art Group have been the back bone of this exhibition over the years."

Gil Paterson, Clydebank's MSP, previously praised the exhibition.

He told the Post: “The exhibition is a fantastic display of the incredible talent we have in Clydebank."

The total amount raised, £3,800, will be doubled to £7,600 by the government to feed hundreds of children in the developing world.
