A MAN has confessed to having dozens of images of bestiality and hundreds of child exploitation images.
Dylan Waterson, 23, pleaded guilty at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on January 23 to possession of still images and videos at his home in Gleniffer View, North Drumry.
He admitted taking or permitting to be taken photos or pseudo photos of children between November 16, 2017 and May 4, 2018. He also admitted possession of images or pseudo photos of children between November 16 and May 8.
And he admitted to having extreme pornographic images depicting in an explicit and realistic way bestiality.
Fiscal depute Kevin Doherty told the court police received intelligence images had been downloaded from the internet. A search warrant was executed where they found Waterson.
He told officers he had been on a website on his phone.
A number of items were seized, including the mobile phone.
Forensic examination found 35 still images and one moving image of bestiality.
There were 60 images and 11 moving images at the most serious category A of child abuse. There were 107 still and two moving images at category B and 670 still and 20 moving images at the lowest category C.
Mr Doherty said: “During the search of the property, he was cooperative with officers. He was interviewed and spoke freely and made numerous admissions.”
Sheriff Maxwell Hendry was told Waterson had no previous convictions so he called for social work reports and a risk assessment.
He said: “These are extremely serious matters.”
Sentence on Waterson was deferred until March 8, when he will learn his fate.
In the meantime, he was put on the sex offenders register, and his bail was continued until then.
