A SHERIFF has told a habitual Clydebank criminal that he is on his final chance to avoid prison.

In his latest offence, Kyle McCreadie, 23, admitted domestic violence against two women.

McCreadie, Faifley, also behaved in a threatening or abusive manner during the incident on December 12 last year at a house in Silverhills, Rosneath.

Dumbarton Sheriff Court heard on Friday how McCreadie was shouting and swearing and made threats of violence.

He also acted in an aggressive manner and put his partner into a state of fear and alarm, and also repeatedly phoned her and made threats of violence towards both her and her mother.

Defence lawyer Peter Young said: “He pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity. He is looking for the chance to go onto the Pair Programme, for people involved in domestic violence.”

Sheriff Maxwell Hendry said: “In 2014 you were sent to detention, you have two breached Community Payback Orders, then in March 2017 you breached another CPO. How many times will this happen before you finally realise you cannot continue to breach court orders?

“I have lost track of the number of times you have appeared before me. If you continue to act in this way it will simply be prison sentence after prison sentence. If that’s what you want then continue doing what you are doing.

“I don’t think you deserve it, but I’m going to give you one last ditch chance, which I am sure will come as a surprise to you. I will call for a Pair Assessment, which has to be carried out when you are at liberty. It will be your attitude which will be assessed and your commitment to the programme.

“I will release you on bail, but there will be a special condition that you do not contact in any way your partner or her mother.” Sentence was deferred until February 6.
