Today's trip down memory lane takes us back 15 years to when those taking part in a Momentum project performed in a Whiteinch school.
Here's how we told the story in the Post back on Thursday, January 8, 2004...
A UNIQUE musical partnership between local schoolchildren and unemployed adults came to a grand finale recently.
Momentum’s ‘Music to their Ears’ project, launched earlier this year, culminated in a special Christmas performance at St. Paul’s primary, Whiteinch.
Clients from Momentum’s Energiser projects in Yoker and Drumchapel had been working with primary seven children at the school — making percussion instruments from recycled materials and learning how to play them.
Forty-six children got together to put on the yuletide performance.
Energiser co-ordinator John McMahon said: “Working in partnership with the school and students has been an extremely positive experience for our clients, encouraging them to work as a team.”
