IRISH pub O’Neill’s has opened its doors in Glasgow City Centre following an extensive three-week refurbishment as it takes over the former Royal Scot pub on Union Street.

O’Neill’s Grand Central has brought with it an entire new food and drinks menu, placing a big emphasis on live sports viewing.

Following the refurbishment and significant investment made at the pub, eight new jobs, including two apprenticeships, have been created.

Speaking about the new look, general manager Billy Finnigan, said: “It’s been fantastic seeing the pub come together over the last couple of weeks.

“We can’t wait to welcome everyone back and see our guest’s reactions over the coming days.

“There have been some big changes and we’re confident they’ll go down well the people of Glasgow.

“Ideally located, our pub is the perfect spot to get together with friends, family or colleagues to relax and unwind over good food among a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

“Along with the improved menu, we’ve a wide selection of drinks, including our new range of craft beers and ciders.

“We’ve always been known for live sport and brand-new screens throughout the bar will provide guests with an optimum viewing experience.”
