The parent council at Gavinburn Primary held their Christmas fair last Wednesday and were pleased to enjoy an “amazing” turnout - despite the yellow weather warning in place for the area.
With general, chocolate and tombola stalls, bath bombs, Christmas Eve boxes, homebaking, a tuck shop, hair dazzles, a find Santa hunt and a hamper and grand raffle draw, the fair had something for the crowds of people who turned up to support the school and pick up some Christmas gifts and goodies.
And there was even a very special guest in residence as Santa came to visit the school’s fabulous grotto.
There were also some independent stall holders selling Christmas gifts, family frames, personalised items, glassware, bags, scarves, sweet and chocolate bouquets, which went down a treat.
Michelle Donnelly, chair of the parent council at Gavinburn, said: “ The school enterprise had some stalls selling great things made by the pupils which alone raised over £600 for their chosen charity, Children with Diabetes, which is a charity close to our school’s heart.
“It was a fantastic night and we would like to thank all who attended and supported our wonderful school.”
