CLYDEBANK residents were feeling festive at the weekend when the Christmas lights were switched on.

People of all ages were getting into the Christmas Spirit on Saturday (November 17) at Clyde Shopping Centre for the lights switch on event.

Fairground rides, market stalls, entertainment and even fireworks were organised as part of the day.

Entertainment was provided all day and performers included BKS Dance Academy, Jemma Stevenson, and Zoe Tait.

And special guests, Paw Patrol's Marshall and Chase, attended to meet the little ones along with Santa.

Sandra Carmichael, deputy centre manager at the shopping centre, said: "Clyde Shopping Centre would like to thank all our customers who came along and supported the Christmas Light Switch-on, it was an amazing turn out from our local community.

"We hope everyone had a great day, in particular the little ones with Paw Patrol and our new addition of the free Elf school which will run every weekend up to Christmas."
