FORMER employees of Singer have a chance to appear in a BBC documentary that is scheduled to start filming.

Producers at TVI Vision, a television production company based in Glasgow are currently working on a documentary for the BBC about Clydebank’s Singer Sewing Machine Factory.

The impact Singer had on Clydebank and the story of the workers will be explored in the documentary.

Vicki Watson, an assistant producer of the company, told the Post: “We’d love to speak with former Singer workers and those who have memories from when the factory was there.

“We’re also very keen to see any photographs or videos people might have of their time working there.”
