SCHOOL pupils from across Clydebank will be performing live on TV as part of the BBC’s famous Children in Need fundraiser.

A total of 130 talented pupils aged 9-15 from West Dunbartonshire will be singing “A Million Dreams”, from the musical The Greatest Showman, tonight as part of the charity’s appeal show.

Youngsters from Clydebank High, Gavinburn Primary, Our Holy Redeemer’s Primary and St Joseph’s Primary have been practising and fundraising ahead of their appearance.

Eight other school choirs will join the pupils and they will all sing in unison from different locations across the UK, including Chester and Cardiff.

The Children’s Choir, which has been described as a “highlight of the show”, sang a jazz rendition of “Over the Rainbow” last year.

Presenters Tess Daly, Graham Norton, Mel Giedroyc, Ade Adepitan, Rochelle and Marvin Humes and Rob Beckett will be hosting a night of family entertainment.

BBC Children in Need funds 313 projects across Scotland that help children and young people facing a range of disadvantages – such as living in poverty, being disabled or ill, or experiencing distress, neglect or trauma.

A fundraising pack is available for download from bbc.co.uk/Pudsey and is packed with ideas to help the public raise money.
