LINNVALE Primary pupils marked the end of the First World War with an assembly of remembrance on Friday.
Each aspect of the service was carried out by the primary six and seven children who also wrote their own songs, poems and a short film.
Hand-made wreaths were laid following a minute’s silence.
Afterwards, parents and visitors had the opportunity to look at the pupil’s work and enjoy soup made from rationed ingredients by the children.
A teacher from the school told how the service and the preparation helped children understand some of the sacrifices made during war.
