MEMBERS of the Faifley Parish Church and their friends and families have been working hard knitting poppies to decorate the church and its grounds.
The church on Faifley road will be holding a special Remembrance Sunday service and are holding a competition to guess how many poppies were donated in order to make the decorations that include a large cross and various displays of poppies.
The money raised from the competition will be donated to Erskine Hospital that provides long-term medical care for veterans of the British Armed Forces.
Months of donations of poppies have come from the church’s congregation and friends, the Women’s Guild, and from members of a craft class in Duntocher.
