KIDS across the area were entertained during the October week with a day of magic thanks to Golden Friendships.

On Tuesday, October 16, children’s entertainer Pat Doogan and his friends from Paisley Magic Circle put on a free show for the little ones attending the Golden Friendships kids club.

Silly Billy, Mister Giggles and Davie Lees the ventriloquist with his friend Robbie all made an appearance.

Elaine McCulloch, a parent who attended with her daughter, told the Post: "Golden Friendships kids is absolutely fabulous. The children always enjoy it and are well looked after. There was different kinds of magic from different magicians and the ventriloquist was absolutely hilarious."

Jim McLaren, founder of the charity, said: “Pat and his friends gave up their time for free to give the kids somewhere to go during their break. They were treated to juice and crisps and all left very happy.”
