THE Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are encouraging residents across the country to attend safe and organised public displays rather than putting on their own.
In West Dunbartonshire there are two events organised – one in Dalmuir park on Tuesday, November 6 and another in Levengrove Park on Monday, November 5.
Both events will run from 7pm until 9pm with the displays commencing at 7.30pm.
The fire service said: “The period around November 5 is traditionally one of the busiest for our fire crews. Scotland need’s its firefighters for real emergencies. Attending bonfires can cost lifesaving minutes getting to a house fire.
“If you are looking to enjoy fireworks this year why not go to a safe, organised public display? You’ll save money on buying fireworks and you’ll see a much more spectacular display.”
