A veterans’ charity is appealing to Clydebank to join the rest of Scotland and “Light Up Red” for the centenary of the end of the Great War this November.
Poppyscotland is calling for mass involvement from schools, churches, council buildings, monuments, statues and landmarks with external lighting to make a “thank you” gesture and illuminate their buildings in red from November 5 to November 11.
Any structure is welcome to join in, with the list already including castles, museums, cathedrals, bridges, race courses - and even an pencil.
If you’d like to get involved, email Jude Smart at j.smart@poppyscotland.org.uk for further information.
